Forward thinking tailoring for a new generation

Scyeline aims to transform the way the world sees the tailoring industry, setting out to make bespoke tailoring accessible and affordable to a new generation.

Knowledge,
experience,
mission

Scyeline was founded by one of the UK’s youngest female tailors. Having trained on Savile Row and then moving away with a mission to make tailoring more accessible in ethos and cost, Scyeline’s founder Georgie Syms set out to create a new approach to tailoring that was more inclusive and affordable. Working with a team of UK-based professional cutters, makers and finishers, a Scyeline piece is completely made in the UK, using the world’s finest selection of materials and accessories.

Sustainable fashion in a changing world

The idea that fashion and style should be here for today and gone tomorrow is outdated and unsustainable. At Scyeline we want the world to embrace a slow fashion that improves how you look and feel, whilst working towards a more sustainable future.

HOW WE WORK

Consultation, measurements, style, fabric options

The first stage is to meet up and chat through your thoughts and ideas about what you would like to create unique to you. We do all the tailory stuff by taking over 20 precisely engineered measurements that capture the physical you and head off to do the hard thinking on how to perfectly capture your inspiration.

Toile fitting (a fancy tailoring word for the early version of your finished garment made up in ‘fake’ fabric)

Using the measurements of the physical you, we hand-draft a pattern onto paper and then create an initial version of your piece from which we can define and perfect it. We place this on you to look for all the tweaks and changes to make.

Basted fitting (your piece made up in the real fabric, temporarily stitched together with white ‘basting’ thread)

This is when we bring the ‘shell’ of your creation to life, made in your fabric choice to do another fitting to ensure that all measurements and changes are translating well into the finished product.

Forward Baste (making sure it is exactly right and adding in all the extras)

This is when you will see your creation with all added extras and we place the near-finished product on you to make sure everything is sitting correctly and we are happy with the final look. Once happy, everything is sent on to the amazingly named ‘Finisher’ to add all the hand-sewn details, buttonholes, and any other personal touch you might want.

Final fitting and Collection

A detailed inspection, expert press and loving presentation of your finished product are undertaken before we meet to present you with the physical version of your inspiration.

Pricing

Our suits are designed to last a lifetime and our prices reflect this, so we know these are not purchases to be made on a whim. Accessibility is at the heart of our ethos, therefore, we have created a two-tiered pricing structure;

  • A ‘Made-to-Measure’ option is a more affordable tailoring process where we create you a fully unique pattern specifically to your measurements, but we cut down the number of fittings involved. Our prices for made to measure are:
    • 2PC suits – jacket and trousers (for men and women) – £1550
    • Jackets (for men and women) – £850
    • Trousers (for men and women – £525
      • Skirts/dresses – £550

    • Our fully tailored option is where you get the complete bespoke fit. From personalised embroidery perfect for your wedding suit, to totally unique creations, there’s no limit to the creative possibilities here. All our bespoke pieces have beautifully hand-sewn button holes and are painstakingly finished by hand. Our prices for made to full bespoke are:
      • 2PC suits – jacket and trousers (for men and women) – From £2000
      • Jackets (for men and women) – From £1350
      • Trousers (for men and women – From £675
      • Skirts/dresses – From £625

Each of our pieces are highly unique and tailored, and our prices can be as well, dependent on what you’re after. Therefore the above prices are a rough guide for our pieces, so please feel free to drop me a line to let me know what you’re looking for and I can let you know more about your options. I am also always more than happy to chat through your vision.
